Our Story. Who We Are. Where We’re Going.

About Ingressus

We know what it means to build something from the ground up, because we did it ourselves.

Ingressus / Resources

Ingressus was born from a simple idea: businesses deserve a marketing partner who understands more than advertising.

Our story

It started with a conversation on a networking trip.

The story started in 2018, during a networking trip, when founders Tomasz Popławski and Olivier Wasilewski began talking about something they both saw missing in the Polish-American market: an agency that could look at marketing as a whole, rather than as a collection of separate services.

Tomasz brought years of experience in Polish-American radio, television, advertising, sales, video production, and marketing. Olivier brought a corporate American business perspective, strategic thinking, and a strong network of relationships. Different backgrounds, different personalities, but the same conclusion: let’s try it.

By 2019, after Tomasz decided to leave his career in radio and television, Ingressus became much more than a side project.

Why Ingressus?

Ingressus means an entrance. A way in.

We spent a long time looking for the right name. Eventually, we found it in Latin. Ingressus means an entrance, a way in. That became the idea behind our company and our original philosophy: Gateway to New Markets.

Today, that meaning is even more relevant. We help businesses find their way into new communities, new markets, and new opportunities. At the same time, we help ethnic and European companies better understand how to communicate, compete, and grow in the American business environment.

We grew together with our clients

Becoming a large agency has never been the goal.

Ingressus did not start as a large agency. We started small, without an office, and we still don’t believe an office defines an agency. What matters is the people, their experience, their relationships, and what they are capable of accomplishing together.

Some of our earliest clients were entrepreneurs who had built their own companies from the ground up. Their trust gave us the opportunity to grow alongside them.

Over the years, that journey led us to projects we probably would not have imagined at the beginning: promoting major sporting events, organizing international business missions, working with the City of Chicago on outreach to the Ukrainian community, partnering with Polish organizations and institutions, and becoming the North American agency for LOT Polish Airlines.

Not every important project is measured by how much money it generates. Some are important because they prove what you are capable of, and open the next door.

Marketing is only part of the story

We start with what you are trying to accomplish.

We started primarily with traditional media. Then came digital marketing, social media, paid advertising, video, PR, events, business delegations, and strategic consulting.

Today, we rarely start a conversation with "What kind of marketing do you need?" We would rather ask: "What are you trying to accomplish?" Before we can promote a business, we need to understand how that business actually works.

We ask questions. Sometimes a lot of them. We want to understand the customers, the sales process, the challenges, the competition, and the people behind the company. Only then can we decide what marketing, communication, or sales support actually makes sense.

We understand ethnic markets because we live in them

The Polish-American market is our backyard.

We know its media, organizations, businesses, events, community leaders and, most importantly, its people. Those relationships have been built over decades, not downloaded from a database.

But Ingressus is not simply a "Polish marketing agency." Our experience gives us something broader: an understanding of how ethnic businesses and communities think, communicate, and build trust. That allows us to help American companies reach Polish-American and broader ethnic markets, while helping Polish and European businesses navigate the U.S. market.

We don’t want to compete with the largest agencies. In many cases, we’d rather work with them.

For a large agency, an ethnic community may be another demographic segment. For us, behind the numbers there are people, businesses, and stories.

Different people. One team.

Different strengths that work together.

Ingressus is built around people with very different personalities and areas of expertise, and that’s exactly how we like it. Some of us bring structure, analytics, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Others bring creativity, relationships, ideas, and the ability to see opportunities where others may not.

What we all share is experience. We know what it means to run a business, deal with clients, make difficult decisions, work within budgets, and sometimes figure things out as we go. That’s why our relationships with clients rarely feel transactional.

We want clients to talk to us, challenge us, ask for our opinion, and tell us when something isn’t working. The more we understand, the more useful we can become.

Our goal isn’t to be another vendor. We want to become a trusted part of the team.

Where we’re going

Growth means getting better, not just bigger.

Ingressus continues to grow, but growth for us doesn’t simply mean becoming bigger. It means becoming better at what we already do well, expanding our team, and building deeper expertise in areas where we see real opportunity.

Events, international business missions, and cooperation with companies, institutions, and government organizations from Poland are an increasingly important part of that future. As Poles living and working in the United States, there is something particularly meaningful about projects that combine business with promoting Poland, Polish companies, and Polish ideas in America.

We get to do the work we enjoy. And sometimes, that work also opens a door between two worlds. That’s exactly what Ingressus was supposed to mean from the very beginning.

Ingressus. Gateway to New Markets.
